近年来,西方国家的许多图书馆学院相继关闭,其中包括开办得最早的图书馆学院之一,久负盛名的美国芝加哥图书馆学院。这一现象给西方乃至世界图书馆学教育界带来很大震动,已经引起各图书馆学院的普遍关注。面对复杂多变的社会环境,各院校为了摆脱当前的困境,试图从各方面对图书馆学教育进行改革,以寻求生存和发展的出路。英国图书馆学教育界在这方面做了探索,取得了较大进展,并发现了一些问题。本文试从四个方面进行介绍,供国内同行借鉴。
In recent years, many library colleges in western countries have been closed, including one of the oldest library colleges and the prestigious Chicago Library Institute. This phenomenon has greatly shocked the education community in the West and even the world in the field of library science and has drawn widespread attention from various libraries and colleges. Faced with the complex and ever-changing social environment, in order to get rid of the current predicament, colleges and universities try to reform the education of library science in all aspects in order to find a way out for survival and development. The British library science education community has made exploration in this respect, made great progress, and found some problems. This article tries to introduce from four aspects, for domestic counterparts to learn from.
