Harbin produces 37,000 tons of live garbage every day. How to handle it effectively is a big problem. Recently, Harbin Institute of Technology and Thailand’s co-developed “urban living garbage recycling and biological engineering and comprehensive treatment of new technologies ” is expected to solve this problem, the project has submitted a feasibility report to the Harbin Municipal Government. Wang Erde, a professor at Harbin Institute of Technology who is in charge of the project, introduced that the technology will use modern bioengineering technology to increase the utilization of resources. If the investment is 200 million yuan, the project will be used to establish a 1,000-ton-a-day processing plant for the treatment and recycling of biological waste. The first step in waste sorting and recycling is to treat 10%-15% of the waste.
