1978年2月6日,邓小平同志批准筹办面向全国的广播电视大学。30年来,电大在邓小平教育思想指导下以教育的信息化带动教育的现代化,在远程教育技术、办学经验等积累了雄厚的实力,成为国家远程教育的主要力量,今后广播电视大学的发展要以全民终身学习为己任,为国家构建终身教育体系和建设学习型社会服务。邓小平“三个面向”的教育思想对电大远程开放教育的发展依然有着重大的现实指导意义。
February 6, 1978, Comrade Deng Xiaoping approved the preparation for the national radio and television university. In the past 30 years, under the guidance of Deng Xiaoping’s educational thought, the TV University has brought the modernization of education with the informatization of education. It has accumulated solid strength in distance education technology and school experience, and become the major force in the nation’s distance education. In the future, the development of radio and TV universities should be based on Lifelong learning as a whole responsibility for the country to build lifelong education system and build learning-based social services. The educational thoughts of Deng Xiaoping and “Three Orientations” still have great realistic guiding significance for the development of Open and Distance Education in TV University.
