Shortly thereafter, it will become the most densely populated mountain range in the world for large hydroelectric power plants: one dam per 3,000 square kilometers, which is 62 times the average density of hydropower stations around the world. Over 1,000 dams in this part of the world, India, Nepal and Bhutan have been or are being built or have been built.
