Water nourishes the earth, gave birth to human civilization. However, with the rapid increase of the global population and the speeding-up of modernization, the contradiction between supply and demand of water has become increasingly prominent. As early as 1972, the United Nations Conference on Human Environment issued a warning to the world: “The water will soon become a serious social crisis and the next crisis after the oil crisis is water.” Although the Yangtze River and the Yellow River are still flowing Since then, there have been nearly 90,000 reservoirs built in more than 60 years since the founding of New China, but today we have to face the reality that the United Nations has identified it as a “water-scarce country.”
