In recent years, the enthusiasm of Chinese people to go for test driving licenses in Korea has been rising, especially Jeju Island, which is exempt from Chinese. Official data from South Korea shows that in 2010 only 68 Chinese got driver’s licenses on Jeju Island, but soared to 991 in 2014. As of May this year, Jeju Island has issued a license to 1093 foreigners, of which Chinese accounted for 90%.
