自“信息高速公路”兴起之后,一旦建设到所需要的宽度,将千万个医院、学校、图书馆、家庭等连接起来,实现地球上不同地区的任何两个人之间,患者与医生之间随时随地的交换信息。那么,病人坐在家庭计算机终端旁向国内外寻医问药,医生在万里之遥诊断处方,不再是梦想,而即将成为现实。去年4月,我国首次利用全球信息资源网络(Internet),成功地为清华大学21岁的朱令进行了世界性医学专家会诊。朱令患一种罕见的重病,她发病一周头发即迅速脱落,后来昏迷,自主呼吸消失,靠呼吸机维持,生命垂危。虽经北京名医诊治,却无能为力。朱令在中学时的同学(北京大学力学系)贝志诚获悉盾,迅速拟好求援信,通过Internet向世界呼救。电子信函发出3小时后便收到世界各地医学专家的热情回函。在随后10多天内,收到1000余封电子邮件,其中有1/3来函认为是急性铊中毒,并提出了诊断建议。后经劳动部做重金属实验,证实是罕见的铊(81号元素)中毒。经用“普鲁士蓝”进行解毒治疗,朱
