With the implementation of the curriculum reform, the new curriculum standard puts forward the correct goal of foreign language teaching, that is cultivating foreign talents with innovative ideas. To cultivate innovative talents, we must make innovations in the teaching mode. The student-centered teaching mode is a kind of teaching mode guided by constructivism. Constructivism holds that students are the main body of cognition and the active constructor of knowledge meaning in the process of teaching rather than being stimulated by external stimuli recipient.
