国际性的美术双年展是规模盛大、影响久远的文化事件,其举足轻重的地位丝毫不亚于体育界的奥运会、电影界的奥斯卡评奖、文学界的诺贝尔奖、工商界的世博会…… 从1895年第一届威尼斯双年展开始,一个多世纪过去了,双年展以其卓著的文化功能,回报丰厚的经济收益,深远的国际性影响等获得了世界各国的高度重视。跻身双年展,也成为许多杰出艺术家的终生荣耀。
The International Biennale of Fine Arts is a grand and influential cultural event. Its pivotal position is as much as the Olympic Games in the sports industry, the Oscars in the film industry, the Nobel Prize in literary circles, and the World Expo for Business and Industry. Beginning in 1895, the first Venice Biennale started. More than a century later, the Biennale has drawn great attention of all countries in the world with its outstanding cultural functions, rich returns to the economy, and far-reaching international influence. Becoming a Biennale has also been the lifetime glory of many great artists.
