中兽医认为“六淫”或“疫疠”之邪从皮毛、肌肤或从口鼻而入,均自外受之邪称为外感;当外邪侵犯畜体皮毛、经络、肌肉等部位而使机体表现出一组典型的“恶寒发热、头痛鼻塞,苔白脉浮”等症状称为表证。前者为病因,后者为病症。外感表证的概念外感属祖国兽医学病因学说分类之一。中兽医认为绝没有无原因的证候,而外感疾病不外是“六淫”或“疫疠”之邪所引起,故《内经》说:“夫百病皆生于风寒湿燥
