地質概況及地层的物理——地質性質 和村鋁土矿区位于峰峰煤田和村彭城向斜西翌,呈南北带状分佈。从地貌上看为丘陵、台地、冲沟及黄土平原組成的洼地;但从內部地質結构来說,則为一不对称南北傾沒的向斜。組成矿区的地层有:中奧陶系馬家沟統灰石,中石炭系本溪統硬質砂岩,上石炭系太原統砂頁岩(本統为峰峰煤田的主要产煤地层),及二疊系石盒子統砂頁岩和第四紀沉积物。 鋁土矿粘土矿及鋁土頁岩分佈在中奧陶系灰岩侵蝕面上,与底板粘土呈漸变消失关系。鋁土矿一般多賦存在灰岩侵蝕面上的低洼地区。矿体长度一般数十公尺至一百公尺左右,厚度約3~5公尺。由于燕山运动的影响,发生断裂,使鋁土矿矿床遭到錯动。从矿床露头分佈看,鋁土矿呈不連续的透鏡状或楔形产出。

The strata that make up the mine include the Middle Ordovician Majiagou, the Middle Carboniferous Benxi Hard Sandstone, the Upper Carboniferous Taiyuan Sandstone Shale (this is the main coal-producing formation in Fengfeng Coalfield), and the Permian Stone box sandstone shale and Quaternary sediments. Bauxite clay ore and bauxite shale are distributed on the erosion surface of the middle Ordovician limestone, which shows a gradual disappearance relationship with the basement clay. Bauxite is usually found in low-lying areas on the limestone erosion surface. The ore body length is usually tens of meters to a hundred meters or so, the thickness of about 3 to 5 meters. Due to the influence of the Yanshan movement, a fracture occurred that caused the bauxite deposit to be misplaced. According to the outcrop distribution of the deposits, the bauxite is in a discontinuous lenticular or wedge shape.
