This article discusses the principle, method error and measurement accuracy of the multi-step error separation technique. Theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the multi-step method can separate the systematic error of the main shaft and the roundness error of the workpiece more completely, so as to effectively improve the measuring accuracy of the circularity meter.
