案奉前華北人民政府電令:將原屬陕甘寧邊區领導之晉南專暑管轄之臨汾、襄陵、曲沃、吉縣、鄉寧、汾城、大宁、永和、蒲縣、隰縣、洪洞、趙城、汾西、安邑、河津、稷山、新絳、榮河、萬泉,聞喜、平陸、解縣,猗氏、臨晉、永濟、芮城、虞鄉、夏縣等二十八個縣劃歸本省。經與陕甘寧邊邊區政府洽商决定於一九五零年一月一日正式劃歸山四,並將现有之晉南專署改爲山西省臨汾區行政督察專員公署。本府原屬之翼城臨時專署亦於即日撤銷,搬往運城,成立運城區行政督察專員公署。各該專署所屬縣份根據前華府規定重新劃分如左: 一、臨汾專署——轄臨汾、襄陵、曲沃、吉縣、鄉寧、汾城、安澤、霍縣、浮山、翼城、大寧、永和、蒲縣、隰縣、趙城、洪洞、汾四等共十七個縣。二、運城專署——轄安邑,河津、稷山、新絳、榮河、萬泉,聞喜、夏縣、平陸、解縣、猗氏、臨晉、永濟、虞鄉、芮城、絳縣、垣曲等
