In the late 19th and early 20th century, under the threat of various external forces, China began to be forced to transition from a subsistence-oriented peasant economy and society to a modern society in which agriculture and industry coexisted. Various social life levels also showed a mixed situation. The transformation of the mode of production and the advancement of industrial technology directly or indirectly change people’s daily life style and evolve substantive changes in the concept of creation, the way of creation and the composition of creation. Under such circumstances, China’s traditional handicrafts production has become extremely fragile and even in danger of being confronted with the modern industry and has a direct impact on the production of arts and crafts that are closely related to handicrafts.
