喀喇昆仑公路(Kara Koram High-way),又称中巴友谊公路。它东起我国西部的千年古城喀什,穿越喀喇昆仑、兴都库什和喜马拉雅三大山脉,经过中巴边境口岸红其拉甫山口,直达巴基斯坦北部重镇塔科特,全长1224公里,其中中国境内415公里,巴基斯坦境内809公里。作为巴基斯坦北部通往其首都及南部沿海地区的交通要道以及我国通往中东地区的唯一陆路通道,其重要性不言而喻。
Kara Koram High-way, also known as China-Pakistan Friendship Highway. It starts from the ancient city of Kashgar in the west of our country, crosses the three major mountains of Karakorum, Hindu Kush and Himalayas. It passes through the Khunjerab Pass in the border of Pakistani and Pakistan and reaches Tacot in the northern part of Pakistan with a total length of 1224 km 415 kilometers in China and 809 kilometers in Pakistan. The importance of being the main thoroughfare to the northern and southern parts of Pakistan to the capital and the southern coast of the country and to our country’s only land access to the Middle East is self-evident.
