For the first time, the group contribution method was used to calculate the solubility parameters of cyclic and linear polystyrenes according to the cohesive energy, the molar volume, the molar adsorption constants and the critical intrinsic viscosity, respectively. The solubility parameters, Critical viscosity function, critical molecular weight and Mark-Houwink parameters, the theoretical significance of the critical molecular weight used to calculate the K_ (θ, r) value of macrocyclic polymer should be discussed in detail.
