Intestinal microorganisms are essential to the host’s physiological response and to the development of immune function. Little is known about the effects of gut flora on the physiological processes that are dictated by immune cell function, such as blood pressure and systemic vascular function. Methods: Compared with conventionally raised rats (CONV-R), the germ-free mice (GFs) without any bacteria showed more severe T helper type 1 lag. The common intestinal flora established in the gut of GF induces the transcription and expression of T-box mRNA in T lymphocytes, resulting in mild vascular endothelial dysfunction
