曾几何时,由于“主科”频繁的统考、竟赛,致使学生工作重心偏向了“智育”(不全面的智育),德育教育被忽视了.小学的思想品德课也因此被一些人误视为“副科”,被打入另册,被当着搭配课搭配给教师去应付差事.不少教师也因此不愿意担任思想品德课的教学,将之视为额外负担而勉强地把它搬进课堂去照本宣科、敷衍塞责.学生学起来觉得枯燥无味.教师在上面讲,学生在下面不是打瞌睡,就是逗逗打打的.思想品德课因此达不到“着重提高学生道德认识和道德判断能力”的教学目的.
