从2002年开始,我国主要运营商相继启动IPv6实验网络项目,2003年中,中国下一代互联网示范项目(简称CNGI)全面启动,国家牵头并投入专项支持资金,明确提出必须采用IPv6技术建立下一代互联网网络,并实现与国际下一代互联网的高速连接。CNGI项目对于中国下一代互联网的发展具有极其重要的战略意义,它标志着国家对以IPv6为基础的下一代互联网的产业发展的支持达到了一个实质性和跨越性的里程碑。
Since 2002, China’s major operators have launched IPv6 experimental network projects one after another. In 2003, China’s Next Generation Internet Demonstration Project (CNGI) was launched in an all-round way. The state took the lead and put in special funds for support and made it clear that IPv6 technology must be adopted to establish the next generation Internet network, and to achieve high-speed Internet connection with the world’s next generation. The CNGI project is of crucial strategic significance for the development of the next generation of Internet in China. It marks a substantive and leapfrog landmark for the state’s support for the industrial development of IPv6-based next-generation Internet.
