凤凰山铁矿床属于宁芜玢岩铁矿床第Ⅲ类型的中高温气液交代充填氧化铁矿矿床。1961~1979年有关单位对该矿矿石进行了可选性研究、工艺流程试验,有的进行了半工业和工业试验。试验流程达20余种,无论采用焙烧—磁选—反浮选,还是采用单一的重、磁、浮等工艺,其精矿品位只有45~56j6%,铁回收在64~88%之间,均未获得较为理想的技术指标。目前采用的振动槽—跳汰流程所获得的精矿质量不仅不能满足冶炼要求,而且资源的利用率不高。矿石性质是影响选矿技术经济指标的决
