据悉,Microsoft 与 Citrix Systems 将为运行瘦型客户机的服务器推出第二版测试软件.又悉,Intel 与终端生产商 NetworkComputing Dievices 达成协议,后者将采用 Intel 的瘦型客户机技术规范生产台式机系统。上述情况表明,Wintel 联盟已近一步涉足瘦型客户机生产领域。顾名思义,瘦型客户机通常依赖服务器的存储数据及数据处理功能。前途渺茫的网络计算机的提出使人们初次了解了瘦型客户机的性能。但是,Wintel 的参与将使瘦型客户机的发展重获生机。与名声不佳的网络计算机不同,Wintel 终端将大有做为。
It is reported that Microsoft and Citrix Systems will launch the second version of the test software for the server running the thin client.It is also learned that Intel and the terminal manufacturer NetworkComputing Dievices reached an agreement that the latter will use Intel’s thin client specifications to produce desktops system. The above situation shows that the Wintel Alliance has been involved in the thin client production area. As the name implies, thin clients often rely on the server’s storage data and data processing capabilities.
