中国同利比亚于1978年8月9日建交。利比亚遵照两国建交公报“承认中华人民共和国政府是代表全中国的惟一合法政府,台湾省是中华人民共和国领土不可分割的一部分”的原则,同台湾当局断了交、撤了馆。我国于1979年3月派出第一批人员去利比亚建馆,9月首任大使裴坚章赴任。
China and Libya established diplomatic relations on August 9, 1978. Libya, in accordance with the principle of “recognizing that the government of the People’s Republic of China is the sole legitimate government representing China and Taiwan is an inalienable part of the territory of the People’s Republic of China,” abided by the communique on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, cut off the diplomatic corps with the Taiwan authorities. Our country sent the first batch of personnel to Libya to build a museum in March 1979, and the first ambassador to Pei Jianzhang took office in September.
