跨越式发展开辟了高效益的捷径江泽民同志在中共十五大报告中指出:“我国是发展中国家,应该更加重视运用最新技术成果,实现技术发展的跨越。”采用最新成果,实现技术发展的跨越,有时意味着用创新的设计,绕过按常规方式发展会遇到的巨大困难,走一条高效益的、事半功倍的捷径。北大方正1988～1995年的快速发展得益于我们在出版系统方面三次重要的跨越式发展。这三次发展是:一、跳过第二、三代照排机,直接研制第四代激光照排系统;二、跳过传统的电子分色机阶段,直接研制开放式卓机出版系统;三、跳过高速传真机方式的报纸传版作业,直接推广以页面描述语言为基础的远程传版新技术。
