Objective To study the cognition of medical staffs who came to our hospital for further study on the knowledge of adverse drug reactions in our country and provide the basis for expanding the monitoring of adverse reactions and improving the quality of monitoring. Methods A total of 236 1 400 academic staff were selected as the sample for questionnaire survey, including the basic information of the subject, the basic knowledge of adverse reactions and the awareness of the adverse reaction reporting work. Results A total of 116 valid questionnaires were collected, with an effective rate of 79.71%. It is correct to acknowledge the following aspects of the concept of adverse drug reactions, the content of adverse drug reactions, the way of reporting of adverse reactions in WHO member countries and the concept of serious adverse reactions The levels of knowledge were 23.14%, 27.32%, 21.59% and 20.59% respectively. However, the level of adverse reactions in first-class hospitals was relatively inadequate, and no significant difference was found between second-level and third-level hospitals. Medical staff of different professional education have a certain understanding of the basic knowledge of adverse reactions, but the mastery is not the same, and the overall awareness of the reporting work is not high. Conclusions Publicity, education and training should be strengthened for frontline physicians to improve the judgment of adverse drug reactions to improve the quality of adverse drug reaction monitoring reports, to promote clinical rational use of drugs and to reduce the occurrence of ADR.
