天通苑的某栋公寓,面朝麦田,每天早上,李崇善都面向这片开阔的麦田练声。年逾七旬的李崇善个头不高,但身板挺直,面色红润光泽,皮肤细腻,眉宇间可见年轻时的俊朗。作为谭门老生,李崇善并不是一位多产的京剧演员,为数不多的几出戏却是划时代的精品——“文革”中最后一出现代戏《磐石湾》,“文革”后第一出传统戏《逼上梁山》,1981年新编历史戏《正气歌》,1995年现代京剧《圣洁的心灵——孔繁森》,获文化部颁发的第九届文华奖。1998年在新编历史剧《风雨同仁堂》中扮演大查柜,该剧获中国京剧节金奖。
