多媒体信息压缩技术是国际上普遍关注的热点问题,其中的技术标准也是各国竞争的焦点。这一问题直接影响到企业的前途与命运,也关系到国家的利益和主权。制定MPEG标准的国际组织全称为ISO/IEC/JTCl/SC29/WGll,常称为MPEG专家组。该组织成立于1988年,是国际标准化组织内就同一个技术主题制定标准的最大工作组。
Multi-media information compression technology is a hot issue that has drawn widespread international attention. The technical standards are also the focus of competition among various countries. This issue has a direct impact on the future and destiny of the enterprise, as well as on the interests and sovereignty of the country. The international organization that makes the MPEG standard is called ISO / IEC / JTCl / SC29 / WGll, often called MPEG expert group. Founded in 1988, the organization is the largest working group within the International Organization for Standardization that sets standards for the same technical subject.
