在世纪之交的今日,中国的高等教育正发生着令人瞩目的结构性变化。这种结构性变化从根本上说是中国经济高速发展对人才的需求所决定的。在这些变化之中,很重要的一个变化乃是确立了高等职业教育应有的地位,并对它的培养目标、办学模式以及办学体制等等重大问题开始进行了深入的探讨。可以预言,如果我们能把握机会,大力提升高等职业教育的地位,一个崭新的适合我国经济和社会发展需求的高等教育的体系一定会进一步完善起来。
At the turn of the century, China’s higher education is undergoing remarkable structural changes. This structural change is fundamentally determined by the demand for talent in China’s rapid economic development. Among these changes, a very important change is to establish the due status of higher vocational education and to start an in-depth discussion on major issues such as its training objectives, mode of running schools, and school system. It can be predicted that if we can seize the opportunity and vigorously promote the status of higher vocational education, a brand new new system of higher education suited to the needs of China’s economic and social development will surely be further improved.
