中国民主促进会十届三次中常会6月12日至14日在北京举行。会议以邓小平理论和中共十五大精神为指导,结合民进实际,深入学习江泽民总书记去年12月23日同各民主党派中央、全国工商联新老领导人座谈时的重要讲话,着重研究了以政治交接为主线,加强自身建设特别是领导班子建设问题,会议还对民进今后的工作做了部署。全国人大常委会副委员长、民进中央主席许嘉璐主持会议并讲了话。许嘉璐说,江泽民总书记的重要讲话,内容丰富,意义深远。
