王念孙,字怀祖,号石臞,江苏高邮人。清代音韵学家和语言学家,乾嘉学派的待表人物。对先秦、秦汉时期的经、史、子有深入的研究,发展毛亨、郑玄的成例,用本字求假借字;继承恩师老儒戴震的校雠方法和态度,以古声求古义研究训诂,取得了令人瞩目的成就。本文根据王念孙的代表作《读书杂志》浅要的分析古书致误的一些原因,其中的观点有待于推敲和商榷。
