Ozel: I’d heard that doorways were meant to be safe.
Mrs. Ashton: Only if it’s close to you and you can be sure that it’s strongly supported. Oh, and one little extra 4)tidbit—if you’re in bed, stay there. Just grab a pillow to protect your head. Unless, of course, there’s a heavy light above you. Then you need to get out.
Trista: So when should we go outside? My mom always said that we have to have a meeting place outside of the house, but when should I go there?
Mrs. Ashton: Aha, another important point. ④You’re really on fire today Trista. What do you think class? How long should you wait after the shaking stops?
Sarah: You can just go outside straight away, can’t you?
Mrs. Ashton: Not quite. Sometimes there’s another, smaller earthquake that happens after the initial one.

Mrs. Ashton: Yes it is. So when the initial shaking stops, slowly count to 60 and then make your way outside to your arranged meeting place. Now, final question today: what do you do if you’re trapped?
Dillon: Shout for help.
