Australian scientists have used three new technological means to provide people with the opportunity to see the future of grape cultivation. The first technology developed by the research team at the University of Adelaide in Australia is an Apple mobile app. Producers can use this procedure to measure crown growth. The program is currently undergoing further testing by a big wine company and will be released soon. The second innovation is near infrared spectroscopy based on a wavelength that is barely visible to the naked eye, a special camera. This camera measures the water potential of the vine.
