Causes and Countermeasures of Desertification in Three North Regions in Our Country Dou Dou Due to the serious destruction of vegetation, desertification and land desertification in China’s northeastern and northwestern regions and north China’s northern part of the country have been accelerated in construction and planning. The annual average area of desertified land has been increased from 1560km2 in the 1950s to the current 2100km2, and the ratio of desertification to land desertification has been increased.
