索代,出生在闻名遐迩的拉卜楞镇的一个藏族家庭,50多岁的他有着坎坷的人生经历。中学毕业后,正值“文革”开始,索代随着知识青年上山下乡的潮流来到了牧区,在夏河县科才乡跟牧民生活了4年,在那极其艰难而复杂的岁月里,他当过牧民,任过民办教师,干过赤脚医生,其间吃了很多苦,但藏族人民的朴实、善良、勤劳、豪爽给他留下了很深的影响。也是在那几年里,他对牧民的风俗习惯逐渐产生了浓厚的兴趣。
Sodai, born in the world-famous town of Labrang, a Tibetan family, has a rough life experience in his fifties. After graduating from high school, just as the “Cultural Revolution” began, Sodai came to the pastoral area with the trend of knowledgeable youth coming and going to work in rural areas. He lived with herdsmen for 4 years in Cocai Township, Xiahe County. In that extremely difficult and complicated time, He was a pastoralist, served as a private teacher, worked as a barefoot doctor, during which he ate a lot of bitterness. However, the simplicity, kindness, industriousness and dignity of the Tibetan people left a deep impression on him. It was also during those years that he gradually gained a keen interest in the customs of pastoralists.
