1998年11月10—11日,我在北京参加了国家自然科学基金重大项目的评审会。申报这个项目的高等院校和科研院所共有18家,经书面评审后,遴选出11家参加这次答辩。其中有6家经过3年多的初期研究,并有2位院士牵头,对新的科技边缘有重大意义的某一分支领域进行了充分的准备工作。项目有特色,人员的搭配比较合理,研究规模和预期目标也相当可观。
From November 10-11, 1998, I participated in the review meeting of major projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China in Beijing. A total of 18 institutions of higher learning and research institutes applying for this project have been selected and eleven have been selected for the defense after their written assessment. Six of them conducted preliminary studies in more than three years and led by two academicians and fully prepared a branch in a field of great significance to the new technological edge. Project characteristics, staffing more reasonable, research scale and expected goals are considerable.
