伦敦首创“亚洲艺术周”去年十月初,伦敦气温下降至日均8℃至14℃之间,使刚刚抵达希思罗机场的人感到寒意阵阵。这里从10月30日至11月8日举办第17届亚洲艺术周(Asian Art in London),下榻地和展览场地被拾掇得暖意融融、春意盎然。笔者眼见许多参会者都面露喜色、怀揣希望。世界上有多个城市举办亚洲艺术周。纽约依托其商业和金融方面的巨大优势,仅用六年就把这项盛事在全球的影响力推向高潮,尤其在去年春季3月纽约亚洲艺术周期间,中国湖南收藏家群体以重金从佳士得洽购国宝级青铜重器皿方罍回湖南博物馆,引起的轰动把更多的注意力引向纽约。到6月4日至8日间,另一个冠以“亚洲艺术周”的博览会在布鲁塞尔举行。来自印度、中亚、东南亚、中国以及日本等亚洲国家的艺术经销商齐聚比利时首都,参加此次年度艺术盛会。此前布鲁塞尔举办过8届东方艺术
