In order to explore the clinical efficacy and side effects of artemisinin in the treatment of falciparum malaria, we selected 478 cases of different types of artemisinin in the area of endemic malaria from 1998 to 2000. The results are reported as follows. 1.1 General Information The patients in this group were patients with malignant malaria in the local and nearby countries diagnosed at the Friendship Hospital of the Central African Republic, aged from 18 to 52 years old.
