10月中旬,受南海热带气压和冷空气的共同影响,海南遭遇了一场历史罕见的暴风雨的袭击。暴风雨肆虐之处,城乡一片泽国,人民群众的生命财产受到严重威胁,屯昌、万宁、琼海、定安、文昌、澄迈、海口、琼中、儋州、琼山等全省大部分地区均遇灾害。在一些重灾区,房屋倒塌,人员被困,农田被淹,水利、供电、道路等设施损毁严重。危急关头,海南省委、省政府紧急动员,周密部署,各级党组织、党员干部和解放军官兵迅速奔赴第一线,带领广大群众奋起抗灾,场面惊心动魄,感人至深。他们不顾个人安危,时刻心系群众,关键时刻表现出了无惧无畏的精神和顽强拼搏的作风,最终经受住了考验,在海南前进的道路上写下了光辉的一页。这里刊登的琼海、文昌、屯昌三市(县)的纪实文章,是全省抗洪救灾的生动缩影。

The scene was extremely soul-stirring and touching.
