ＨＩＣＯＭ３００系列产品是时分复用、Ａ律压缩的数字程控交换机。结构设计高度模块化，可以根据不同用户的要求拼接功能模块。这样既可使ＨＩＣＯＭ系统配成一个仅有话音交换、功能较少的一般程控交换机，又可配成具有ＩＳＤＮ功能的通讯系统。本文在介绍ＨＩＣＯＭ系统的主要性能参数同时，给出四种型号，即ＨＩＣＯＭ３４０／３７０／３９０／３９１的系统配置，并且详细说明了配置用户系统时，应考虑的问题及配置方法。
HICOM300 series products are time-division multiplexing, A-law compressed digital program-controlled switches.
