江苏省阜宁县总渠堤防管理所是一个集防洪保安、灌溉配水、综合经营于一体的全民事业单位。现有在岗人员160人,担负总渠78公里堤防的防洪保安、80万亩农田灌溉水源的配置和5700亩宜林绿化面积的经营管理任务。改革开放以来,他们以深化改革为动力,依靠科技进步,实行林粮间种、立体开发,走出了一条依托科技兴堤林的集约型路子。目前,全堤成材林木蓄积量达1.5万立方米。1996年全所林、粮、工、副业总收入达到120万元,人均创收7500元,连续被省、市、县评为绿化先进单位、工程管理先进单位和市级文明单位。

It was successively rated as advanced afforestation unit, advanced engineering management unit and municipal civilized unit by provincial, municipal and county governments.
