2000年5月20日,中国特奥世纪行组织委员会主席邓朴方、阎明复亲笔签署荣誉证书,高度评价易新南先生为特奥会创作的会歌《圣火》,称赞“您的爱心奉献,将使越来越多的弱智人能够参与特奥运动。衷心感谢您对中国特奥运动的大力支持!”尔后,在举世闻名的长城居庸关,由国际超级巨星阿诺德·施瓦辛格点燃火炬,中国著名歌唱家毛阿敏演唱的《圣火》,在太阳升起的地方,向五洲四海传遍!
