元蘑别名黄蘑、冻蘑、晚生北风菌,属干层菌纲、伞菌目、白蘑科、亚侧耳属,是著名的野生食用菌,分布于河北、黑龙江、吉林、山西、广西、陕北、四川等地。我国大部分地区只要条件适宜均可栽培。一、形态特征。子实体肉质、覆瓦状叠生或丛生。菌盖直径3-12厘米, 扁半球形至平展,半圆形或肾形。有后沿,宽3-12厘米。黄绿色或带褐色, 有短绒毛,边缘渐光滑,表皮易剥开。盖缘内卷后反卷。菌肉白色且厚。菌褶稍密,白色或浅黄色。菌柄侧生,短或无柄。有绒毛或鳞片。孢子印白色、光滑、腊肠形,4．5-5．5微米×1-1．6微米。囊状体梭形,中部膨大,29-45微米×10-15微米。
