In order to accurately convey information, science and technology translation should consider readers’ acceptability and English translation. When considering the cultural background, knowledge structure and expectation of English audience, science and technology translation should reasonably rewrite the Chinese scientific literature according to the cultural norms of English-speaking countries. Rewriting is a practical strategy for English translation of science and technology and can help translators achieve their translation goals. I.
