本文對蜀石經形制這一疑難問題進行初步探索,選取拓本、殘石均有存世的《毛詩》為入口,以新獲傳世拓本所存原石編號為契機,復原了《毛詩》原石行數與布局方式.認為蜀石經《毛詩》原石一面約容三十七行,單排布局,雙面書刻,是唐開成石經影響下的帖式刻石,而北宋胡宗愈作石經堂庋藏蜀石經的具體方法亦由此得以推知.帖式刻石以傳拓為務,則對經籍文本的固定、趨同具有型範意義.
