2002年2月21日,国家安全生产监督管理局(国家煤矿安全监察局)闪淳昌副局长收到美国劳工部劳伦斯基副部长签署的公函,邀请中国派出救护比武队参加2002年8月在美国内华达州举行的“国际金属与非金属矿山救护比武”。此事得到国家局领导的高度重视,决定派队参加,以学习国际先进的矿山救护技术、管理方法和比武经验,促进我国矿山救护与国际的交流。
On February 21, 2002, Deputy Director Shan Chunchang of the State Administration of Work Safety (National Coal Mine Safety Supervision Bureau) received an official letter from the Deputy Minister Lawrence of the U.S. Department of Labor, inviting China to send ambulance troops to participate in the " International Metals and Non-Metal Mines Ambulance Competition held in Nevada, USA. The matter was the leadership of the State Bureau attaches great importance to decided to send teams to participate in the study to learn the international advanced mine rescue technology, management methods and competition experience to promote mine rescue and international exchanges.
