Objective: To investigate the expression of nuclear factor κappa-B (NF-κB) and transforming growth factor β receptor Ⅱ (TGF-βRⅡ) in oral squamous cell carcinoma The relationship between squamous cell carcinoma and its significance. Methods: Sixty patients with OSCC were collected from July 2010 to July 2011. Immunohistochemistry was used to detect 60 cases of OSCC, 20 cases of paracancerous tissue, 29 cases of metastatic lymph node tissue and 10 cases of inflammation Expression of NF-κB and TGF-βRⅡ in lymph node tissues. SPSS20.0 software package for statistical analysis of the data. Results: The expression of NF-κB in primary squamous cell carcinoma and metastatic lymph nodes was significantly higher than that in adjacent normal tissues and inflammatory lymph nodes (P <0.05). The expression of TGF-βRⅡ in primary squamous cell carcinoma and metastatic lymph nodes was significantly lower than that in adjacent normal tissues and inflammatory lymph nodes (P <0.05). There was a negative correlation between NF-κB and TGF-βRⅡ (P <0.05). NF-κB in patients with low grade of differentiation, high pathological grade and lymph node metastasis was significantly higher than those with high differentiation, low pathological grade and no lymph node metastasis (P <0.05). NF-κB is associated with the prognosis of oral squamous cell carcinoma (P <0.05). Conclusion: NF-κB and TGF-βRⅡare negatively correlated with the occurrence, development and metastasis of oral squamous cell carcinoma; NF-κB is correlated with the prognosis of patients; NF-κB may promote angiogenesis by down-regulating the expression of TGF- Promote tumor growth and metastasis.
