Acupuncture in our country has a long history, as early as the “Yellow Emperor”, on acupuncture methods and indications, contraindications made in detail. Tang and Song Dynasties is the peak stage of the development of acupuncture theory. However, due to historical conditions, acupuncture and moxibustion have been faltering like footnails. In particular, the Qing government arrested the feudal ethics in 1822 and ordered the hospital to abolish the acupuncture department. As a result, acupuncture practitioners became increasingly scarce, scholars disappeared and acupuncture was almost lost. It did not develop until after the 30s and 40s of the 20th century. Well-known acupuncture and moxibustion experts Wang Laoting and Professor Hu Yinpei, is the leader in the historical background of acupuncture career downturn.
