一位西方学者科林伍德曾说:“没有一定程度的技巧技能,无论什么样的艺术作品也产生不出来。”我看张金林这次画展的重要性,就在于打破了流行的花鸟幽形式的雷同和僵化。当然,这对任何一位有一定创作特色甚至形成了个人风格的画家,必须把克服定势效应作为建构形式感的一个基本要素。因此可以说,这次画展的显著特点是:张金林的艺术已具有一种不拘一格的开放性动态结构。从形式方面看,他在艺术结构上的调整,表现为不断汲取新的方法技巧,尤其在一些大画里,他用打散结构,按画面表现需要来重新组合的方式,以显现其内在气质的充实,从随物赋形到从心所欲,一切都是作者的感悟和个性的同化,从而闪烁出创造智慧的光芒。我认为这是他在艺术上的一大飞跃。这次画展开幕之际,适逢张金林60花甲华诞,作为艺术生命历程的一个里程碑,他用作品证明自己鲜活的生命与独特的存在,是画家对生命与存在的独特直觉和把握。谨此,我向他表示热烈的祝贺!
