2007年8月8日晚,北京天安门广场见证了又一个庄严、神圣的仪式:在第二十九届奥运会倒计时一周年庆典活动上,国际奥委会主席雅克·罗格把参加2008年北京奥运会的邀请函,亲手交与世界各国、各地区奥委会的代表。国际奥运会首次选择在主办城市举行这项仪式,表明北京奥运会筹办顺利,工作出色,被国际奥委会充分肯定。
On the evening of August 8, 2007, Tiananmen Square in Beijing witnessed yet another solemn and sacred ceremony: At the celebration of the first anniversary of the countdown to the XXIX Olympiad, Jacques Rogge, the president of the International Olympic Committee, took part in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games Invitation, personally hand in with all countries in the world, the representatives of the regional Olympic Committee. The first time that the International Olympic Games chose to hold this ceremony in the host city, it shows that the Beijing Olympic Games has been well organized and well done and fully affirmed by the International Olympic Committee.
