2000年5月18日,第一届PECC国际贸易投资博览会实景区“太平洋村”闭幕,这是国内第一个专业性、权威性的住宅产业化新产品新技术推广基地。 “太平洋村”建于天津经济技术开发区泰丰工业园内,共有来自PECC的23个经济体的参展商兴建的27幢代表各国风情的别墅或民居。其中,建设部住宅产业化促进中心承接了13幢应用建筑高科技、产业化部品部件的新型工业小住宅。这些住宅借鉴和采用了国外多项先进经验、技术和产品,进行了新型住宅建筑体系、工业化装配化施工技术、环保与节能、厨卫整体设计与安装等方面的研究设计、成套技术与产品集成等工作。
