The new high school English curriculum focuses on the cultivation of students’ comprehensive language proficiency and requires students to have comprehensive reading ability, highlight discourse analysis ability, judgment ability and logical reasoning ability. To improve students’ reading ability, in teaching practice, we should make full use of the mode of reading teaching and teaching strategies. In high school English classroom teaching, we apply schema theory to English reading teaching practice. Through the formal schema reading training, can effectively improve students’ reading ability, to meet the reading requirements of the new curriculum.
